What is Sk8 Therapy?
Sk8 Therapy is Adelaide’s original and only skateboarder run and operated skateboarding organisation, Our events, Sk8 Workshops, Private lessons and mentoring programs have been created to assist in the promotion and pathways of skateboarding for the future of the sports community. Our young people learn the basic to participate safely in the sport of skateboarding and are given the opportunity to progress from beginner to expert throughout our programs and events. We guide all participants to achieve their dreams within skateboarding or success within life through mentoring and positive role modelling to every participant.
We have a variety of programs available Sk8 Workshops, Sk8 Mentoring, NDIS Sk8 Mentoring, Competition coaching and Private lessons ensuring maximum inclusion for all genders and abilities.
Sk8 Therapy work within the guidelines set by the Australian Skateboard Community Initiative and Australian Skateboard Federation to ensure the best outcomes and inclusion for all young people and the sport of Skateboarding in Australia.
All our programs have been created by Michael, a certified Youth Worker who has been a skateboarder for 30 years. All staff conduct our sessions within a child focused safe environment, having a minimum requirement of Senior First Aid and Working with Children clearances and Australian Skateboard Federation Skateboarding Coach accreditations.
